About the imprint
A home for original stories with something to leave behind.
Echelon Storyworks is an independent publishing brand shaped by imagination, curiosity, and the enduring power of a well-told story.
Our story
Across experiences.
Across generations.
We create original adult fiction, children’s stories, fantasy and imaginative fiction, and publications centered on family legacy and meaningful living.
Though the forms may differ, the intention remains constant: to make books that welcome readers in, invite them to feel and wonder, and remain meaningful beyond the final page.
Independent by design, Echelon Storyworks has the freedom to follow each story toward the form and audience it deserves.
Our philosophy
Original Stories.
Lasting Impact.

About the Founder
The person behind the pagesSuretta Middleton is the founder and creative voice behind Echelon Storyworks, an independent publishing house created for stories that cross genres, experiences, and generations.
Suretta writes across adult fiction, children’s literature, fantasy and imaginative fiction, and meaningful publications centered on family, legacy, and everyday life.
Her stories are drawn to the complicated spaces between people—the choices they make, the things they leave unsaid, the lives they build, and the moments that change them. Whether exploring relationships and consequences, creating imaginative worlds, or writing gentle stories for children, she believes the best books leave readers with something that remains after the final page.
Echelon Storyworks grew from that belief: that one creative home could hold very different kinds of stories without asking them to become the same.
Suretta lives in Georgia with her husband and continues to build Echelon Storyworks one story—and occasionally several stories at the same time—at a time.
